ShaderMap Version 3.x
Specular Map from Displacement
MAP: SPECULAR (DISPLACEMENT)

Generates a specular map from a displacement map. In ShaderMap the specular map controls the intensity of the specular light across the surface of a model. It can also be used to control reflection intensity or even alpha transparency.

INPUTS:

Displacement Map - A height map representing the displacement of a surface.

PROPERTIES:

Name: Type: Description:
Input Filter List Select the color channel or combination of color channels to use from the input map.
Detail Slider The amount of detail in the resulting map.

Contrast Slider A contrast filter applied to the resulting map after it is generated.
Preserve Alpha Checkbox If checked the alpha values of the input map are maintained and placed in the alpha channel of the generated map.
