Displacement Map from Normal

Creates a displacement map from a normal map. The normal map input should be generated using displacement or baked from geometry. It uses two different methods to try to return normals back to their original displacement. For best results, it is important that the user has set the coordinate system of the normal map input correctly.


Normal Map - A tangent space normal map.


Name: Type: Description:
Type Droplist The type of conversion method used: (Baked from Model and Converted from Displacement).
Contrast Slider Contrast applied to map after conversion to displacement.
Height Slider The positive or negative height of the displacement.
Preserve Alpha Checkbox If checked the alpha values of the input map are maintained and placed in the alpha channel of the generated map.
